1.   47th KVS NATIONAL SPORTS MEET 2016-17 :

47th KVS National Skating (Boys) 2016 was held at KV AFS Hakimpet from 3rd to 7th October,2016 in which 24 regions from India of KVS consisting of 318 Skaters participated with 42 escorts.

The National Sports Meet Skating (Girls & Boys) was conducted for all the age groups U-14,17 & 19 for inline and quards was conducted in KV Hakimpet. The Judges/Officials from National Sports Authority of Hyderabad were arranged to judge the events.

2.   CLUSTER LEVEL CMP (COMMON MINIMUM PROGRAMME):

 

Primary Education aims at holistic development of the child. Common Minimum Programme provides a platform for the child to learn new skills, build confidence and character besides providing opportunities to different aspects of learning both academic and non-academic. CMP is being followed in our Vidyalaya under the able guidance of our Principal Mrs. D.V. Sandhya.

 

For the year 2016-17 the Vidyalaya was entrusted to conduct the CMP activities under KV Hakimpet Cluster for cultural activities in which the Cluster Principals decided to have Group Song, Group Dance, Quiz, Hindi Recitation and Drawing & Painting etc. on 10.01.2017. Students from 07 Vidyalayas i.e. KV Bolarum, Tirumalagiri, Sircilla, Ramagundam, Karimnagar, Warangal and KV Hakimpet which come under the KV Hakimpet had participated in the cultural activities. In total 253 students participated in all the activities.

 The different schools have bagged with different positions in different activities, the overall shield was won by KV Hakimpet.

3.   OBSERVANCE OF VIGILANCE AWARENESS WEEK 2016: SPONSORED  BY  RAIL VIKAS NIGAM  IN COLLABORATION WITH KENDRIYA VIDYALAYA SANGHATHAN (31ST OCTOBER TO 5TH NOVEMBER 2016) Venue : KV AFS Hakimpet.

Vigilance week was observed in the Vidyalaya from 31st October to 5th November 2016 in the true spirit. Different activities were conducted by the Students and teachers of the Vidyalaya. The Observation of the Vigilance Week was initiated by taking Oath and Signature Campaign by the staff of the Vidyalaya followed by Speeches by teachers, students & Principal and followed by students Rally to the local market Risala Bazar , Bolarum to make aware and eradicate corruption which is a deadly disease. A Drawing and Painting competition, Skit by the students depicting eradication of corruption also enacted which was highly appreciated by the gathering and the representative Railway Vikas Nigam Ltd . Thus awareness was instilled among the students about the anti - social element of Corruption.

4.    Drawing & Painting Competition Award 2016-17:

 

Ministrey of Petrolium and Natural Gas, Govt.of India in connection with SAKSHAM 2017 has conducted Drawing and Painting Competition on 17.01.2017 where in Kum.Swati Kumari of Class VII had participated and got the 2nd Position at state level and received a cash award of Rs. 3000/- and Certificate from Shri. Etela Rajendar , Finance Minister , Govt. of Telangana.

Annual Report 2016 – 17

It gives me immense pleasure to present the Annual Report of the activities for the academic year 2016-17. The students of our Vidyalaya participated and excelled in both Scholastic and Co-scholastic activities assigned by the KVS in the calendar of activities for the academic year 2016-17. Their hand work, dedication resulted in the achievement of success.

Academic Report:

I.             Academic Performance of our students at the AISSE - 2016 (Class X) – 136 no.of students appeared. The result was 100% with mean GPA – 80.97 (PI). 31 no.of students achieved 10 CGPA and they were conferred Merit Certificates + Cash Award of Rs. 5000/- by the KVS.

 

II.            In the AISSCE- 2016 (Class XII) – in the Science Stream – 65 students appeared and the pass% was 100%, 27 – students got 75% in this examination. Kum. Diksha Gupta of Class XII Sci. got the 0.1 Merit Certificate in Hindi by CBSE. In Class XII Commerce Stream – 26 students appeared and the pass% was 100% , 08-no.of students got more than 75% in the AISSCE-2016 . Kum. Aastha – Class XII Comm. is the overall school topper with 93.2% and also received 1.5% Certificate from KVS in AISSCE-2016. She is also conferred a Cash Award of Rs. 5000/- by KVS.

 

III.          It is indeed a proud moment to inform you that 02- PGTs handling Class XII and 09- teachers handling Class X were recognized and conferred Certificates of Commendation by the Commissioner, KVS Hqrs. New Delhi. This is indeed a great boost to our teaching faculty.

 

IV.          Our Vidyalaya was adjudged as the Best Green Vidyalaya at the Regional Level and received the Trophy “Harith Vidyalaya for the year 2016-17”. This is highlights the go green motto and the spirit of preserving the greenery which is motto of our Vidyalaya.

  Art Dept. report:

V.           Kum. Swati Kumari of class VII C participated in SAKSHAM-2016 conducted by the Ministry of Petroleum a Natural Gas – Govt. of India. She received a 2nd Prize and Cash Award of Rs. 3000/-.

VI.          06 students under the guidance of the Art Teacher, Sh. K Narendra Nath prepared “Cheriyal Painting” and “Short film on Cheriyal Art”. They presented it at the KALA UTSAV-2016 in Jaipur conducted by KVS in month of October,2016. The presentation of young artists was highly appreciated by the panel artists at the UTSAV.

Science Dept. Report:

VII.        07 students participated in the event at State Level Science Exhibition. Mast. Tarun Koushik of Class XI A and Kum. Gayatri Mokashi of Class XI A were selected. They participated at the State Level in IICT Hyderabad and selected for Vidyarthi Vidyaan Manthan at the National Level on 27.05.2017, IIT New Delhi.

 

VIII.      Kum. Harshitha Reddy of Class XI Science presented her individual project on Bio-Plastics at Regional Science Exhibition at KV Gachibowli. She has been selected to represent the Hyderabad Region in the National Science Exhibition being conducted in the last week of April,2017 at IISC Bangalore (A Premiere Institution of Science).

 

IX.          Kum. Gayatri Mokashi of Class XI Science and Kum. Priyanka Yadav of Class Science represented Hyderabad Region at the KVS National Social Science Exhibition cum Integration Camp in Quiz.

Sports & Games:

1.    The Vidyalaya has successfully hosted the U-19 Staking Boys event of the 47th National Sports Meet -2016 which was a National Event (Skating) in the Vidyalaya.

Annual Report for the year 2015 – 16

 I am delighted to present the Annual Report of the Vidyalaya for the academic year 2015-16. The students of our Vidyalaya participated in various activities both scholastic and co-scholastic as per the calendar of activities planned by KVS. They have excelled in both the fields and have brought laurels to the Vidyalaya and the Region.

 1.    At the outset, I would like to present the results of AISSE-2015 (Class X) result in which 121 students appeared and all passed. The result was 100% with mean CGPA 80.68, 34 students achieved 10 CGPA and they received Merit Certificates from CBSE and a Cash Award of Rs. 5000/- given by KVS.

 In the AISSCE-2015 (Class XII) (Science Stream),53 students appeared and the pass percentage was 100% , 28 students got 75% in the above examination.

 In class XII (Commerce) 23 students appeared and the pass percentage was 86.96, 11 students got more than 75% in the AISSCE-2015.

 The Honourable Minister of HRD, Smt. Smriti Zubin Irani conferred the “Stellar Performance Certificates” for the second consecutive year to the Principal and teachers handling class X for their untiring, dedicated services. The Chairman VMC also put as record the dedicated services of the Principal and staff. This is indeed a great boost to the teaching faculty.

 2.    The KVS has recognized the exemplary services of Shri Shiva Kumar, Librarian of our Vidyalaya and conferred on him the KVS Regional Incentive Award for the year 2015-16 under the category of the Libraries.

 

3.    I am happy to inform you that Shri. Shesha Sai, PGT (Phy) has been selected and posted to KV Kathmandu in the month of April, 2016.

 4.    I am also proud to appraise you that Mast. Arindam Kar of Class XI Science visited Japan from 10th April,2016 to 16th April,2016 under the SAKURA Exchange Programme by the Japanese Science and Technology Agency.

 5.    Kum. Deepika of Class Xi, Mast. Bhanu Prasad, Class X B and Mast. D Bhushan of Class X B successfully completed the Highest Testing-Examination and qualified for the “Rashtrapati Award” for the year 2015.

6.    The students participated in various Sports Events and achieved success at the Cluster, Regional and National Level. I am proud to inform you that Kum. Preeti Ganesh of Class XII and Kum. Prashansha of Class XI participated in KVS National Sports Meet -2016 and secured GOLD Medals.

 7.    In the 11th KVS Child Art Exhibition conducted by KV ONGC Rajhmundry, three students received the GOLD Medals – Kum. S Beena- X A, Mast. Shazil Imam- X C and Kum. Swathi Kumari VI C and Kum. Swati Kumari has also won the consolation Prize in State – level Painting Competition – theme is Save Power and Save Water.

 

8.    Students of our Vidyalaya participated in the NCSC-2015 - 

a.    Science Exhibition and Social Science Exhibition 2015 – the students achieved recognition for their presentation in NCSC-2016 at IIT Powai, Mast. Venkat of XI Science and Team – Kum. Shristi Ranjan, Suraj Nayak, Mast. Vamshi Krishna and Keerti Chauhan was appreciated. The topic of their project, Re-Think – A Better understanding of Pollution.

b.    Mast. Harsh Aryan of Class IX A attended the two weeks program for “Young Innovators Programme” organized by CSIR at CCMB-Hyd.

 

9.    The students of this Vidyalaya participated at the Vidyalaya, Regional and National level Social Science Exhibition. Mast. Arindam Kar represented the Hyderabad Region in Quiz at KVS National Social Science Exhibition at KV Ambala in the month December,2015.

 

I extend my gratitude to the Air Force officials for extending their help through HTS scholarship since last year to pay the fee of the economically weaker section students of the Vidyalaya in order to continue their studies and not to be the dropouts from the school. Apart from the Scholarship granted by KVS to the RTE students for their education.

 

KVS one of the pace setting institution which is spread across the country and abroad , is giving a platform for the students to participate in scholastic and non-scholastic activities at length and breadth. KVs are producing Doctors, Engineers, Scientists, and Sportsmen, Officers in Defence at highest level and Artists and responsible citizens. As a team we are working towards excellence in character building of the students and good valued citizenship.
